Long Island Broncos Football and Cheer ~ Seaford, New York
Thank you for an amazing 2022 season Broncos Family!
As we wrap up the 2022 Bronco football and cheer season, we would first like to extend a big thank you to all our volunteer coaches. These coaches donate their time starting in early August (even earlier including summer clinics) to provide our boys and girls with the best football and cheer experience possible. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our young Broncos. We would also like to thank all our Bronco parents and families for your dedication in getting the boys and girls to practices, games, and competitions. We love seeing the team parties, beach outings, scavenger hunts, etc. These events make the Bronco organization special and are only possible with the support of our families.

Long Island Broncos News
Viking coaches and players enjoy providing instruction to Long Island Bronco players last month. From July 18-22, the sounds of football once again emanated from the Seaford Viking’s home turf. The 9/11 SHS Committee has lived up to the commitment made by so many after the terrorist attack on our country “To Never Forget”. On November 22, 2002 the Seaford High School 9/11 Memorial was dedicated to our five alumni and all those who perished on September 11, 2001. With the overwhelming support of the Seaford community our committee has been the inspiration for numerous annual initiatives.
The Union Free School District in Seaford, a lively village of 500 residents in 1893, voted $3,500 that year for the construction of a school. This was Seaford’s third schoolhouse and was dedicated on Arbor Day in 1894. The building, originally constructed on Jackson and Waverly Avenues, served as a school until 1917, when the school board decided that the district had outgrown its present quarters.
On the opening of the Jackson Avenue school in 1921, the building was moved a block away and became the headquarters for the Seaford Fire Department. On July 4, 1976, in commemoration of the Nation’s Bicentennial, the structure, now located on Waverly Avenue between Jackson and Southward was dedicated as the Seaford Historical Museum.
The Museum houses much memorabilia of Seaford as a bay and farming town. Special loans from other museums and private collections will be displayed on a rotating basis. Contributions of a Financial or Historical nature are welcome.
