On January 13, 2020, the Seaford Broncos wrapped up a memorable 2019 season with their annual Awards Banquet held at Crest Hollow Country Club.  With 350 guests in attendance, the night was a great success and fun for everyone.

Guest speakers for the evening were four Seaford High School seniors who started Bronco football at a young age.  Thomas Viscio, Nick Brandi, Chris Surace, and Logan Masters took to the podium and spoke to the guests about their Bronco memories and lessons that learned early on that they apply to what they still do today.

President Doug Schiller recognized all of the Bronco teams for a successful season, and individual team coaches presented trophies and yearbooks to their teams.  Special recognition and trophies were presented to the 9 year old football team for winning their Super Bowl, and to the 10 year old cheer squad for being named NSCA Grand Champions.

Vice President of Football, Leif Rosen, and incoming Vice President of Cheer, Lisa Malek, thanked outgoing Board members Elizabeth Mando, Doug Schiller, and Bill Kind for their years of service to the Bronco organization.

The senior football team was recognized for their years of service and achievement, with the coaching staff receiving gifts from the team.  In addition, 2019 marked the return of the football Senior Awards, with four senior football players being named recipients of the awards.  Thomas Mirenda Jr. received the Tommy Haskell Award, Brian Falk the Adam Bergen Award, Matt Kind the Steve Frese Award, and Mark Villeck the Seaford Never Quit Award.

Throughout the evening, music and entertainment were provided by Diamond Dreams Entertainment, as well as an amazing dinner and dessert served by Crest Hollow.

With 2019 now a wrap, the Broncos will begin preparing for 2020.  In 2019, football registration was up over 30% from the previous year, resulting in the Broncos being one of the largest organizations in the Nassau County Youth Football League.  Bronco Cheer teams continued to be one of the most successful programs on Long Island, and the Cheer 5 Clinic was the largest in memory with close to 30 cheerleaders.  With such great growth in both sports, the Broncos are looking forward to an even bigger and better 2020.  If interested in more information, please reach out to the Broncos at longislandbroncos@gmail.com and be sure to visit our website, www.longislandbroncos.com .  Also, give us a follow on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.  We’re looking forward to meeting new faces in a few months!
